‘Something Fishy’ Success
Congratulations to Emma and Elliot who came in second and third place in the ‘Something Fishy’ poetry competition for the Shannon River Basin District. They both wrote excellent poems on ‘My Life as a Fish’. The competition was open to all students whose class signed up to the ‘Something Fishy’ project, so we are very grateful to the Green Schools Committee who registered us to take part in the programme. As part of the project, Inland Fisheries Ireland work in partnership with Education Centres and visit schools to inform and educate students on fish, water, angling, and the environment and angling.
Well done Emma and Elliot! Enjoy your prizes and keep up the poetry!
