Green Schools Activities 2021-2022

All classes have completed a variety of activities as part of our Green Schools initiative in preparation for our next Green Flag.

All pupils took part in the ‘Spring Clean’ and litter in all areas within the school grounds, GAA pitches and People’s Park was collected.

The Incredible Edibles project, which involved pupils sowing and growing food in the Community Garden, was submitted to Bord Bia and we are looking forward to the results to see if our school’s Gold Status can be retained.

Sixth Class completed the ‘Save the Bees’ project and in our own efforts to save the bees, more native wildflower seeds were sown in our very beautiful ‘Wildflower Garden’.

Pupils continue to walk and cycle to school when feasible. Keep up the great work boys and girls and well done!
