Gaeilge – Speak Irish for a Day

Ms Nugent’s 6th Class and Ms McGeown’s 4th Class took part in Gaeilge24 on 13th November. Pupils had a great time conversing in Irish for the day. Gaeilge24 is a challenge which encourages pupils to speak only in Irish exclusively for 24 hours: at home, in school and everywhere else. The challenge, which began in 2012, is organised by Conradh na Gaeilge.

This year, more than 30,000 pupils from 300 schools across the country took part.
