Canadh le Chéile – choir fun day choral workshop
On Thursday November 7th, Clarecastle School Choir joined with Barefield, Parteen and Thomond National School choirs for a day of fun choral workshops called Canadh le Chéile (Sing Together). This was the first event of its kind in this region. The children experienced workshops in breathing exercises, round singing, actions in songs and warm ups. They also learnt a song which was performed by all the children at the end of the day. The aim of the day was to give the children a joyful experience of choral singing in a non competitive environment. Each choir also performed an individual song for the other choirs.
